Students in 3rd grade draw their “dreamtime” story in the Australian aboriginal style. Later they tell their classmates what the stories are about.
The Dreamtime is term used for describing important features of Aboriginal spiritual beliefs and existence. The Aboriginals believed that the entire world was made by their Ancestors way back in the very beginning of time – The Aboriginal people, the rocks, mountains, rivers, creeks, waterholes, plants and animals. The Aboriginals also believed that the Dreamtime period is a continuum of past, present and future.
